Newcastle Manager Situation

It's a guessing game. Some mag has put on Twitter that they're getting Rafa and that's it he's coming. I'll be very surprised if he goes there tbh, they've just splashed £80mil, if they stay up that money they've spent is the to money for next year imo. There will be fuck all for the new manager.

What the hell? Have they bought s striker? Have they bought a defensive back four and a couple of centre backs? No and no. Nothing's changed. Get a grip guys, keep the faith!!

Well, it has. We didn't buy a new team when Di Canio or Advocaat came in, and they gave us enough lift to keep us up. A half decent manager can see a team over the line absolutely.

Not saying they will stay up, but people who think a new manager doesn't make any difference are, frankly, mental.

Surprising level of anger given your indifference to the news

It was a huge blow mate. Players were on the floor, even a few tears.

We have the worst fixtures of the three, all it takes is them to get a bounce and we'll drop.

mate you may be right but after the Great Escape two years ago (and Leicester last year) I've given up trying to apply logic to football - absolutely anything is possible

.. while I'd be surprised if he'd lower himself, I'd never say never cos funnier things have happened .. besides I'm a right fookin jinks when I open my mouth ..

Has Benitez ever managed a team in this much trouble in the relegation zone? I am not sure if he is going to be a good choice for a scrap at the bottom of the table. He might just pull them out of it, but I would be happier with someone like Nigel Pearson for that kind of fight if it was my team. A manager that has had massive resources and has fought for the title is not necessarily going to be ideal for a run in with a side that is completely on its backside.

At what point do we start hoping they draw against Leicester so he's still there for the derby?
