Newcastle Manager Situation

Couldn't give a shiney shite who's in charge, just hope our lot turn up and prove that they are willing to stay in the top level with our team, next season could be stress free with the set up we have!

That's true but new manager bounce etc. Could work or it could backfire completely
Call me obsessed but they are our rivals and relegation rivals also so iv watched their last few games. Iv seen nothing at all to suggest
a new manager will do anything with that group of players.

Shit defence, cant score and no fight at all. We are no world beaters by any means but at the moment we piss all awwer their team.

Nowt to worry about ;)

Nope not a WUM but their squad today is so much worse than even we had.

Well, I'd disagree tbh - it's not great but it's better than ours last season.

Regardless though, a manager can make a difference to even the poorest side, even in the short term. He can get them performing as they weren't previously. Simply saying they can't change their players means nothing - we know this from experience.

Let's hope you're right, becuase if the reports are true
He would get £3 million a month or something crazy
and they've spent £80 milliion on players, and they'd still go down :lol::lol:

Well, it has. We didn't buy a new team when Di Canio or Advocaat came in, and they gave us enough lift to keep us up. A half decent manager can see a team over the line absolutely.

Not saying they will stay up, but people who think a new manager doesn't make any difference are, frankly, mental.

I offer you Remi Garde ..... "the manager is already being lined up for top jobs in France, according to reports in his homeland."

Rafa's failings with the biggest name players (being a strict disciplinarian, tactical rigidity, over emphasis on defensive solidity) are exactly what their squad needs right now. I think it's a cracking appointment sadly.
They can't score goals now. Being defensive and more rigid will only make that worse.

He's better than tufty, but I'm not convinced like.

What's that got to do with it? He done poorly, plenty of others have a bounce, we know that from experience.

My point is people saying it doesn't matter because the players are shit so they're doomed regardless are being very naive; there's a decent chance a new manager will boost them and get over the playing faults.

He might not, and I'm not saying that they'll stay up. But it isn't as simple as "he can't sign any defenders so they're down".
