Can the title of this thread not be changed to Tufty is still there to stop me crapping myself everytime it's at the top of the page.
Mods don't do this. I haven't got much on at work this week, so winding Janey up is helping pass the time away.

Tuffty has been sacked off from tomorrows press conference the chronicle are saying, clearly will be sacked, hope they drag it out a bit more.
Doesnt bode well, but maybe they'll send Simpson in front of the press just avoid the question.

the lads clingling on to his phoney baloney job by his whiskers... much like his tuft is clinging on to his melon.
no point in making him meltdown like in his england pressers

Aside from that all the journos will be asking is about his job.

There will be fuck all in the way of questions to do with the match itself so it's either hold the conference without him and have the stand in say from the start they aren't answering questions about Tufty or have a debacle of a press conference which leads to Tufty having a full meltdown.

He put in for the Sunderland job just before Di Canio or Poyet can't remember which 1 but I do remember seeing Benitez on MOTD and was asked about the Sunderland job whether he was in for it and said yes.

Would Real Madrid and Inter fans speak highly of him ?

No but plenty of Madrid fans don't like Mourinho either wouldn't call him shite. Guardiola has been criticised as Bayern manager at times. Think he's won more titles than Pellegrini in both league and cup. As I said name a better manager out there he's still more than capable of getting a job at a team in europe

Any idea why he wasn't appointed then?
No, I only remember him saying it when he was 1 of the pundits on MOTD. I would have had him over Di Canio or Poyet though, might have wanted more money which makes sense with our club, more risk.

Benitez has been hopeless for seasons now would a manager who's failed in his last few jobs with top class players!! Be a good fit for a side that survived on the last day last season and likely to be in the mix on the last day again ?

this has a smoke and mirrors feel about it... the club may have left it too late, but more critically the whole business is under scrutiny, especially recruitment
why the hell nobody said... 'erm the defence has more holes than the iraqi navy, shall we by some defenders' is beyond me, don't blame the mags anger... still funny as hell though

this wish list the press keep banging on about is funny...
mila kunis is on mine but ... my chances of nailing her is about the same as the mags getting rafa

This. He will be in charge v Leicester and us. Then new gaffer will have two weeks to work with squad (or those who arent on international duty). New manager bounce v Norwich

Yep. If someone is doing a shit job get rid straight away and put a caretaker in, but maybe after the Carver tenure it's once bitten twice shy. They don't know whether to stick or twist.

BREAKING: Sky Sources: Steve McClaren to meet with Newcastle managing director Lee Charnley this afternoon

He may just give the club a psychological boost, which may be all that is needed.

If he was to become their manager, it may be better sooner, rather than later. A hammering at Leicester may just be enough to dispense with any new confidence at his appointment.

Hope your right. And hope it's a defeat by us that sees him on his way. Fingers crossed the Norwich game is a draw with a 10 minute pitched battle between all players, subs & back room staff leading to both clubs getting a points deduction.
