Newcastle Manager Situation

the best thing about the benitez story is the mags think it going to happen... the club seem to be happy to let that genie is out the bottle, its now standing in greggs.imagine the disappointment when it doesn't happen

surely what they need with 10 games to go is someone abrasive who will give their underachieving squad a rocket up the arse??

I'm in work at the minute and the mag here is saying Rafa will turn things around but should be brought in after they stay up, he thinks Pearson should come in and keep them up before this though. Reckons the players are good enough.

Surely there's no way he's genuinely interested?! From Real Madrid and the Champions League at the start of the season to Newcastle and the Championship at the end!

I think I said yesterday that all of the hype about Rafa will make the meltdown when it's announced that Tufty is staying so much funnier to watch :)

Their players are total professionals, this won't affect them.
I bet it wont ;)

Professional what?

The longer this drags on, the better. If they were going to sack him, you'd think it would have been Sunday or Monday
Hope it's the same this time next week. Then suddenly rumours he has been sacked 2 hours before the game only for them to be proved wrong when he walks to the dugout.

Well a mag reckons this

"Benitez has tended to work with clubs based on where we used to be, status wise. I reckon he's unproven in a relegation fight"

Is he?

Sacked at Liverpool. Shite at inter, napoli and Madrid.

When was his last good season?

Definitely this. Couldn't get Napoli to defend at all. Didn't even finish UCL. They have pretty much exactly the same side and an unknown coach and they're title challengers.
