Newcastle Manager Situation

I'm hoping Ashley is stubborn enough to not bow to the fans demands. When did he last sack an under pressure manager? Allardyce?

I think mcclaren will be gone. Don't get me wrong, I know Ashley doesn't give a fuck about their fans but he has managed to make money and I think, looking at how perilous their PL status is and bearing in mind the money available next year, he'll act for commercial reasons, it's just that this time they'll coincidentally happen to tie in with what the fans want.

Not arsed if its Moyes mind, he did a mint job of dismantling a team of champions, fuck knows what he'd do to this mob, and if you're near the bottom and could do with some inspiration, well, he's hardly the man for the job

Moyes was a success at Everton because he had a generous chairman who gave him time and no pressure to build a club. The Everton fans are also a hell of a lot more patient than them up the road.

I prefer Moyes short term then Pearson.

Long term, if they stay up he is still a massive coup, alot more then there fans or club deserve with the way they behave.

I don't understand why he fancies this job... and the Sunderland fan in me hopes to god that maybe without complete control and mike as chairman he will be a disaster.

I'd be surprised if Moyes took it. Unless they are gonna give him a big contract of course. Which I can't see Ashley doing.
