The players publicly backed the manager before the Bournemouth game

Bournemouth's 3rd goal reminded me of us v Norwich at the start of the season - players "running" back but not really making any sort of effort. Taylor just backing off and Daniels just toe poking the ball home. I'm worried for us, but I'd be more f***ing worried if I was a mag - they look shot

This week has been huge. Swansea, Bournemouth and WBA all pulling away and us chucking away 4 points. We could have been (almost) clear of the scrap..... Then again, this is Sunderland and we never do things the easy way
Aye, even now I'm thinking what if we got those 2 extra points yesterday or even better won the last 2 so we were 5 points ahead. It's shite but then I think it could have been looking far worse if we'd got beat off Palace and Southampton and the other teams picked up points and we were looking up at them in the table.

It's certainly in our hands even though we've got a harder run in on paper, we've seen that results don't always happen as you'd expect. We can't really afford to get beat off the Mags and give them 3 points. To beat them would be f***ing brilliant to say the least as it gives us a better chance and the same goes for Norwich away! I just hope the Mags get a hard fought narrow defeat next Monday against Leicester (cos Leicester play shite more like) so it keeps Tufty in the job. If they get rid of him before we play them then it may well give them a lift and make it harder for us to get something off them. If they win then it may have a positive knock on effect also.

I can't say what will happen as only fuck knows but whatever happens, like you say we aren't going to do it the easy way! Shame the pussymists still seem to give up at the first sign of trouble! They should show a little more cocktimism ;)

So all I can say to people is prepare for this

Agree. 4 points would have been far better, but we'd have taken a point on Sat if offered before the game

We were 3 mins away from losing to Palace. That was a point gained imo
True, true but in reality we should have been 2 or 3 up before they got anywhere near our goal. Felt like a win, in the same way that conceding yesterday felt like a defeat.

And McClaren expected to hear he's been sacked tomorrow.

Is this journo reliable?

He's a builder not a quick fix merchant. Besides, like Sam he's not exactly tolerant of players that lack heart and they're in the same position now that we were a while back, rammed with the fuckers.
