Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

I'm not defending the club or attacking it either because I don't know all the facts ..... I find that's usually the best course of action but you do it your way.

:lol: an interesting way of avoiding criticising the club I guess.

We don't have the facts about whether they knew about Johnson's guilt. But considering that it was stated in court that they did, and that they have deliberately avoided that part on their (otherwise thorough) statement, is pretty damning.

The club has come out of this awfully, and looks like an embarrassment who would happily sell its morals (and it's fans) down the river to win a few football matches. And that's pretty disgusting really.

Did you not read the statement from about 3 days ago? They said they believed he was pleading not guilty, but were aware of the charges he faced.
What do you want them to say now?
I would like them to clarify if they saw any text messages or the transcript of Johnson's interview in the May 4th meeting. Surely not too much to ask?

And your too polite too, it's worse than shit
It is like. It's utterly and comprehensively shit. It hasn't reached the pinnacle of shitness the Sin and the Daily Moron have achieved, but it has obvious aspirations. The website is about as much use as an ejector seat in a helicopter anarl. Shittest thing of all they Have Sunderland in their name, cheeky feckers.

Too many on here completely blinded by their red and white blinkers, they trying to defend the indefensible. The only surprise is that is took people this long to see that Byrne is way out of her depth, it's been obvious for a quite a while, long before this Johnson carry on started.

It's awful mate, football fans are f***ing horrible at times. They forget that there are loads of things more important in the world than football and become blinded by it.

It wasn't.

It wasn't.

 it was at least heavily implied if not stated (and it was, considering everyone has been left with that impression). It was also implied that the club had copies of all the messages pertaining to the case.

If the implication was incorrect, I'm confident the club (who in its current form isn't backwards in coming forwards) would have strongly denied it, not glossed over it.

I don't care, it's not going to get us three points this afternoon.

Some things are more important than football mate.

Sick of people having a go at Margaret Byrne.

Adam Johnson was a valuable employee to this football club. Not playing him would surely have relegated us and cost the club £100m, making the current annual at the club look minuscule in comparison to what would happen if relegation occured. It was an unethical decision to play Johnson but businesses often have to make unethical decisions to thrive! Margaret Byrne did what she did to save dozens of jobs.
I've noticed this account before. Not least because the username is fuckin embarrassing. Somehow he's slipped under the radar as his posting isn't overly frequent. Its a clear wind up account though and i very much doubt its a sunderland supporter or local person.

It's a disgrace I don't buy it unless we have had a fantastic win, shows how often I buy it tbh ;) but I will never buy it again and the bloke who has held his son up to the front of a newspaper like that wants shooting with shit.

Are you sure of that?

Explain to me how I'm putting my head in the sand please?
By saying we have nothing to answer. That is true legally, but if we want this situation to die down in the next few weeks we should make a statement to clarify what we knew after the May 4th meeting.
Then the club and more importantly the young lass can begin to move on from this.

Of course it's too much to ask.Surely you can't expect them to comment o specific details which could affect the appeal.

As long as the club refuse to answer the questions that are being asked as to what they knew, this will continue.

.
Bollocks. They have answered the questions. They have said that they had no knowledge that he had committed the crimes and he was pleading not guilty. In British law a person is innocent until found guilty.

They don't need to say anymore. The more individual questions they answer the more they will be asked.

Really?

So once again......

The club stated that they passed on the documents they received immediately. There's obviously a degree of faith required here. You either believe the club or you don't. Simple as that.
