Anyone seen the Mirror article by one Andy Dawson who claims something is rotten at 'my club'. Yawn.
 

As long as the club refuse to answer the questions that are being asked as to what they knew, this will continue.

They have made exactly the same mistake that they did with Di Canio - underestimate the levels of media scrutiny, send out a shite press release with 'we're not going to say any more' at the end (which immediately gives the press something to aim at), and hope it would all go away.

Clearly her ability (and as she is CEO she is responsible) to manage the media is on a par with her abilities to make good appointments, build a worldwide brand, put the business on a stable financial footing, generate increasing commercial revenue, and manage the risks in contracts to sign Argentinian internationals for millions of pounds.
 
Problem is that there is no satisfying a media pack in full cry. If the Club issued another statement do you really think that would be the end of it? Of course not. They would pick fault with the new statement and demand another one. They are dredging up publicity hounds like the fella in the Echo to keep the story running.

I made the decision to stop buying The Echo in 1984. Twas easy as Id already moved away but I nivver bought another on visits home. Football Echo was another matter. As its no longer printed in Sunderland I honestly see a reason why anyone would buy it again.
I get my news from newsnow now and the echo is the worst newspaper website that newsnow links too and Im all ower the world getting my news anarl. Australia, Africa, Louisiana, Peru, Singapore, Wales etc etc everywhere has a better website than the Sunderland Echo. Itll be gone within ten years.

The Echo wouldnt of printed that front page when it WAS printed on Wearside thats for sure.

She should never have been given the CEO job and Ellis Short is too blame for that but she's been nothing short of disastrous ever since taking the role. From the Di Canio fiasco where the media had a field day with her due to her comical statements........to the Ji non-registration where we luckily got away with a fine........now this Johnson carry on. In such a short space of time she's made some real howlers and appears completely out of her depth in the role.

Did you not read the statement from about 3 days ago? They said they believed he was pleading not guilty, but were aware of the charges he faced.
What do you want them to say now?

But the letter doesn't address what she may or may not have known, the writer is too dim for that.
It just implies Byrne is to blame for what he did.

It isn't only the press, everybody but a few Sunderland fans would like to know exactly what was known after the May 4th meeting.
Come on now, stop putting your head in the sand on this, they have to say something about this sooner or later or the speculation and people giving opinions as facts will continue.

Too many on here completely blinded by their red and white blinkers, they trying to defend the indefensible. The only surprise is that is took people this long to see that Byrne is way out of her depth, it's been obvious for a quite a while, long before this Johnson carry on started.
