So the lass and her parents have to share the blameDid the girl have learning difficulties that prevented her from making a choice? She encouraged the situation from the start, it was with her consent. When she turns/turned 16, does she suddenly become competent enough to make an informed decision about sex? Legally yes, in reality, no. In Denmark and premably many other countries, she'd be legal. Are they culturally backwards there regarding sex? 16 is a fairly arbitrary choice of age of consent, it's hardly a science given people mature at very different rates. For what it's worth, I think the age of consent should be raised to 18, for various reasons. All this 'nonce' and child molester talk is a massive overreaction and is insulting to those who have genuinely been molested IMO.
I was molested several times as a kid, I've openly mentioned it on here before, on a couple of occasions it involved violence. I felt threatened and cornered, and I couldn't tell anyone as I didn't think anyone would believe me. I did absolutely nothing to encourage the events. NOTHING.
If you think that is in any way the same thing as the Johnson case, you're f***ing nuts. You and all the idiots who agree with you. The girl has to shoulder some responsibility in this, and where the hell were her parents?

This has just happened, Cisse has had more than enough time to answer. You haven't given Papiss Cisse a chance to answer, you've already condemned him.
Why should Sunderland be afforded any extra privileges?
All sex offenders in the eyes of the lawfor the people trying to use cisse as some sort of comfort blanket agains any black n white with an opinion
cisse started his relationship with the 13 year old girl when he was 15(it became illigal when he turned 16)....he also went on to marry the same lass.....just out of intrest how many young lasses have had kids in this country when they have been under 16?.........1000's........and how many of the fathers would have been under 16....1000's...and how many of the fathers would have turned 16 before the lass....1000's

Im bored of you now.Answer what? What allegation has been put to Papiss Cisse directly?
Im bored of you now.
You're talking about things from a legal position. He's talking about the human side. You are making the common and fatal mistake of putting the responsibility for choice on the minor.
A minor at 15 does make a conscious choice to do things... drink, drugs, sex etc - but the law protects them by placing the onus on the ADULT to make the right choices, not the minor.
If a minor dresses up in stockings and heels and begs you for sex willingly it doesn't matter what her 'will' is - it matters what YOUR will and subsequent choice is.
It's the same reason that we don't let minors by alcohol or cigs etc - because many of them would willingly choose to buy them. We as adults recognise that the willing choices they make are not quite as informed as they think they are, so we take that option away from them.
A 15 year old girl will 'love' a teacher, and 'hate' her father sometimes. They will be absolutely convinced their boyfriend in the love of their life, and that they'll be able to be sensible with drink at a party. And yet, we as adults know otherwise right? - which is precisely why the onus was ALWAYS on Johnson and not the girl to make the right choices. He didn't.
Whenever the law deals with minors, it's not about their choice, but about the adult's responsibility.
Finally we might see the benefit of having a lawyer at the top. If we've fucked up in any way legally then it will be astonishing
What the MP should be focusing on is using the case to promote local services in her constituency for children suffering the same thing.
No surprise instead she is gunning the football club
Classic really
Im bored of you now.
She knows nowt about football so the only solace was we were well run legally ... Fingers crossedHow so ? Byrne is a two-bit solicitor in a former life. She's well out of her depth here.
So ? she looked 18/19.The lass was closer to 14 than 16 when it started
From a human side it's still wrong. You're talking about things from a legal position. He's talking about the human side.
correct.....and like cisse.......NONE of them would have been arrested..All sex offenders in the eyes of the law
