Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

But to say the same thing over and over again is plain silly, chewing the fat to no end. Mind you there is one pertinent question that I never saw or heard, sadly, it's too close to the bone toask on here.
I'll tell something I never understand is why it takes 18 months to arrange a trial - surely it can all be done in a month or two, that would have reduced the agony for the poor victim.

Sunderland football club has a responsibility to explain why it reversed its decision to suspend Adam Johnson, the city's MP says.

No, how many times man, I dont think there's enough evidence to say he's guilty, based on what I have seen, you asked who would I believe out of someone who has impeccable character to someone who is known to lie.

No i asked what would she gain from lying, to which you still havent answered.

The hypocrisy within this thread is staggering

I've been embarrassed taking my son home and away during the past year when the "super Adam Johnson" or "if Johnson scores i'm taking the blame" chants we're sang by idiots (some of whom will no doubt post on here), despite knowing absolutely nothing of the facts of the upcoming trial. These idiots convinced themselves he met a lass in a nightclub and who didn't have the social skills or manners to maintain a silence until the whole thing had been to court

If you're one of them that supported him publicly during the past year then learn in future to keep an open mind about things and keep your mouth shut.

You've embarrassed us just as much as the club have

Strictly speaking, an awful lot wasn't proven or disproven, the jury simply reached a verdict that given the evidence on both sides, they believed beyond all reasonable doubt that one charge was accurate:

2 charges pleaded guilty
1 charge the jury found guilty
1 charge the jury found not guilty

Equally, 'not guilty' doesn't mean proven innocent. It means he's innocent by default (as should be the case for everybody), and that the evidence was not enough to convince them of guilty beyond all reasonable doubt.

We will never know the truth behind his Google search, or the photographs, nor will we even know the truth about his pubic hair.

Hr pleaded guilty to grooming!

I'll get my coat!!

Here's one for you, why did you bring Cisse up before?

Because Cisse is a mag, and its his only retort.

The stupid fucker is defending a man that pleaded guilty of sexual assault just because he used to play for sunderland. He obviously has no morality and has shown no sympathy for the victim in this crime.

I just feel so sad for the girl and her friends who have got involved in all this. Let no one lose sight of the fact that she is now scarred mentally for life when she should have been safe.

Do clubs not train their employees?

SAFC have a moral duty to young people that is sadly being overlooked for financial reasons!

There are simply no winners here and that includes the club. However the modern way is to keep looking to find more to blame. It's been an awful saga, especially for the victim.

Well I've caught up after being at work stuck in meetings all day and no, nothing, absolutely nothing new to contribute either way to the argument or debate. Same old same old.
People argued they needed the chance to talk about it fair enough, but they have, and now it's the same stuff being re-gurgitated on both sides of the argument with neither side really budging from their opinion.
We have a game of football tomorrow which is and always will be the most important thing about this club.
Time to close this thread now.
