I think the law recently changed Keith, quite a few people now going to prison for grooming alone without ever meeting a girl, they just have to turn up thinking they were going to meet them.

A few have been sent to prison recently for grooming what they thought were under-age girls but were actually part of a sting group setup to catch people out. They turned up for the meeting so they got prison time even though no child was ever actually involved.

And would a young 15 girl want a shirt signed by Job Bloggs..I think not..he knew what he was doing and he used his celebrity and fame to get what he wanted..That girl trusted him that's why it is even worse

I think the clubs statement yesterday was poor. That wasnt a huge issue to me as many businesses make fantastically obvious fuck ups with communications in these type of situations - BP following the Deep Water Horizon disaster and VW following the software cheat scandal as examples.
I predicted that the media would rip the club a new arsehole following that - see my comment yesterday in this thread- and thought we would clarify that today, probably with a sacking or two. Again I am disappointed but given our history of fuck ups - sack all the workers whilst keeping all the useless twats employed in the 19 point season - doesnt surprise me.
But Sunderland supporters defending sex offenders is something I cant get my head around. And we are talking a child here abused by a multi millionaire - not some pissed tart in a night club who wasnt sure what she was doing. Premeditated self confessed grooming of a child.
I thought the region I was born and brought up in was better than that.

but truth of the matter is kauto in the times we live in, moving on won't be happening in the near future, until the media gets is side of beef to chew slowly they will continue, to dig the dirt, what is done is done, but its just plain wrong and i can't and won't defend it

There's been people on here and other social media platforms blaming her.

Posts on here earlier saying this sort of thing goes on all the time and that he's only been prosecuted because of who he is. Saying it was excusable because the age of consent is lower on the continent. Seriously 28 year olds regularly meet 15 year olds for a kiss and a grope? I don't think so.

What he's done is despicable. He knew that the girl idolised him and he abused that. In doing so he's tarnished the club.

Johnson pulled the wool over everyone's eyes and it's the club and fans picking up the pieces.

For that reason, I keep saying this is only a matter for the club and fans. The media will go away and we can then discuss things properly

The club have already let the whole fanbase hear their side man. Honest, you don't need to be part of ALS to hear a real side to things.

Trial by media, you'd end up with soppy bollocks on here trying to defend the core of the earth is freezing.

Certain media people kept an accurate commentary throughout so call it bollocks if you didn't want to hear it, I didn't but a separate get together to here confirmation or lies would be a waste of time.
