Adam Johnson Trial Verdict

Is anyone on here fully appraised of all the facts and evidence?

If AJ's QC stated in court that the club were aware of the extent of kissing and the whatsapp messages and this was untrue would they not be committing perjury? I don't think one of the
countries top 5 barristers would do that given that the club I would guess would have access to some heavy hitting legal advice. If that evidence was accompanied by AJ's legal team stating they were pleading innocent on all charges you can see why the club might think it was safe to keep him on until his admission of guilt.

Is MB (being a legal) arrogant enough to have taken the evidence from AJ's counsel and not contacted the clubs legal team for advice?

Appears to be all ifs, buts and maybes on here due to lack of information.

I think someone on here needs to fall on the sword (pork if need be) with Gary Lineker to divert the flack away from our beloved club!!!

"That is the issue. It's as clear as f***ing day to everyone except a section of SAFC fans who are digging their heels in to defend the club."

I've said half a dozen times, I'm not defending the club ....... you could've saved all that cut & paste if you'd bothered to read it.

But you're obviously so engrossed in your agenda that you don't want to read what I've actually posted, which seems contagious tbh.

So you're not defending the club... but at the same time anyone who holds the same opinion as you (eg not defending the club) but thinks they should explain exactly what went on is attention seeking?

It might surprise you to hear this but as a rule of thumb if I think someone has done something wrong I tend to want them to explain why they did that thing.

No, that's absolutely nothing like what I've said about 8 times now .... in fact it's the opposite

Because the CPS can present all the evidence in the world that shows you're guilty but you can delay a guilty plea for all sorts of reasons. People admit things in a police station then they get to court and change their story etc. it happens all the time.

What seems to have happened here is he has admitted he kissed her to the club, and said he is pleading not guilty but what isn't clear is what basis he was saying he was pleading not guilty on. The reasonable guess is not a lot and he did it to get more money but that should have been f***ing obvious to SAFC if they did indeed have his paperwork.

I can see that side of the argument however Johnson is a proven liar so how exactly he admitted it and what he admitted to is not clear enough for me, he could have said it was a peck or whatever (which would still have been wrong like) to both the club and the police. However if the club have had access to the Whatsapp messages then he should have been at least suspended from the club if they were not able to sack him, there is no sticking point with those

I think it is a pretty poor statement from the club and it's no wonder the media are picking up on it due to the way it is worded as it arouses suspicion.

'I've clearly stated that those criticising the club are quite right & proper ....... those who are demanding action from the club are attention seeking.'

'People demanding a statement they know won't be issued is attention seeking.'

'Those coming on to demand this or that from the club, knowing it's just a message board, are attention seeking imo.'

'What I'm saying is that it's attention seeking posting demands on here and not addressing the club directly.
'

So it's okay to post on here that you 'don't defend the club' but you can't post on here saying they should issue a statement without looking for attention?

He admitted in his police station interview he proper kissed her.

The issue isn't that SAFC should have sacked him straight away, not many people are saying that, it's that he should have been suspended and/ or kept away from the first team.

Suspending or not playing him until the outcome of the trial would surely imply we were being judge, jury and executioner of a man that plead not guilty up until the start of his trial........we were damned if we did and damned if we didn't. The fact we'd spoken to the PFA and will have sought legal advice surely should suffice to those who are now flinging shit at the club, hoping something sticks !

So in essence, will this affect the playing side of things ie points deduction, fine etc. Or will it mean a sacking ie Margaret Byrne etc.

BSA might be asked the same questions over and over in press conferences?

If Byrne won't answer the allegations, then the press might start to badger BSA.

It's a possibility.
