Aye, understand that and not particularly questioning the club as I think thery've been strung along. If wee had a more involved and local owner things might have been different.I think its clear that both Johnson and his legal team gave the club the expectation of a more positive outcome, hence his initial not guilty plea on all four charges.
Where do the PFA stand in this.
If my memory is correct Johnson returned to the side after a meeting with them.
Didn't mean he had to play.
It's a discussion that has its entirety on here for everyone to see. And it was clear you misinterpreted what he said. That's fine, it's ok to get the wrong end of the stick sometimes, you don't need to get angry about it.
Would you like me to draw you Venn diagrams to explain what he means?
So then why don't they deny it?We don't know they knew. We've got Johnson and his lawyers word for it.
I disagree, some are going on like total bellends and discussing 'points of law' for which they have no actual facts.
I'd say its more like 50% who are being totally reasonable tbh.
"You're still trying to put forward the argument that the preponderance of criticism about the club is insincere, hysterical, attention seeking wummery by people taking pleasure in the club being in hot water. I have simply said that on the available sample, this thread, criticism of the club is based on a reasonable view even if you disagree, as are those putting the opposite view."
No I'm not ......... only the ones that are, as I've said three times now.
It's staggering that this simple suggested approach is getting ignored.
We're clearly going to have to agree to disagree but I look forward to seeing some messages of yours on this thread which say anything about criticisms of the club other than that the people doing it are [lots of various bad names you've called them]

Not disputing it.Didn't mean he had to play.
I defended the club up until these instances where revealed in court. My immediate reaction was to be sceptical of Johnson's camp making these accusations but since then it looks increasingly clear the club had information pointing to Johnson's conduct being at the very least, iffy.
SAFC should have taken him out of the public eye and saved themselves a shitestorm.
He's already stated if it was our cousins up the road his opinion would be totally different
I'm not sure how he expects his opinion to be taken seriously given this admission
They've given a badly worded statement, but I believe they were trying to deny just that. They've said they weren't involved in any tactical discussions about him playing. They also said "his intention was to defend the charges in their entirety and he was confident of success". This suggests to me he didn't tell them he did it. But we're both just guessing. A new statement to clarify would be nice but we aren't going to get one.So then why don't they deny it?
It's a pretty serious accusation.
