Cracking place. They still got the no camera signs up? I took a few during a day time visit without a problem. Different story on an evening

I wish thats all it was

Aye but it seems very chilled away from the pushers. Around the lake and that is beautiful. The rest of the city is class, loads of surprises once you dig a past the surface. Didn't see any of the touristy things but did end up swimming in the river straight out of a floating sauna

The German Pigeon Federation became a branch of the SS during WWII. All pigeon owners had to be vetted and certified by the Gestapo and jews were banned from keeping pigeons in Nazi Germany.

Two suspected German homing pigeons were captured in the Scilly Isles during WWII and held as POW's for the duration of the war.

The nazis had a eugenics programme for pigeons.

For a long time Europeans believed that the Maoris were aborigines in New Zealand, or that if they were immigrants they found an empty land into which to enter and take possession. Late research and enquiry, however, make it appear in the highest degree probable that the country was occupied by human beings before the invasion of the Maoris from Polynesia about 600 years ago. To what race PAGE 561these people belonged it is impossible to say with the information at present obtainable. They may have been black fellows like the Australians or Melanesians, or Negritos similar to the aboriginal inhabitants of the Malay islands, the Alfueros. Or they may have been prior migrations of the Maoris themselves before the great immigration(heke) from Hawaiki. As other hypotheses we may mention that some suppose the Moriori of the Chatham Islands to be the elder branch of the race and to have been in possession of the islands (or a part of them) before the Maoris came, and that the Maoris drove them out as a remnant to those lonely eastern islets.

It wax last year but that you don't need to type www in when entering a web address. It was on The Middle. I started a thread on here. A number of other more mature posters didn't know. We were ridiculed by the youngsters.

How do you know he wasnt putting one back in?
I'll have to trust the photographer Cedric Favero to be truthful, tbh.

The accompanying text reads:

<< caught on camera the moment a young mountain gorilla decided to pick his nose. The cheeky ape took a quick look around to make sure no one was watching - before sticking his finger up his nostril, taking a quick look at his dirty finger and then putting it in his mouth. >>

Testo's roundabout get's its name from Alfred Testo, Britain's best known flea circus entertainer.

Hmm, and there was I thinking it was named after a large garage and caravan sales operation that used to be located there called "Testo's Caravans". Maybe the caravans joint was named after the roundabout which was for some reason named after the proprietor of a flea-circus.

Maybe the flea-circus bloke went on to open the garage?
