Do tell....
I got to know him because I was once having a bit wizz in the bogs and he came in and thought that I was a dealer. Once he realised I was not a dealer he then became friendly with me. On that night I was only talking to him for a few minutes and this was a few hours before he was killed.
He had one of my best mates in a headlock in there once. Luckily nothing came of it. Once watched him take a good few grand off a lad from Sheffield who'd been dealing in the club.

There were some pretty scary blokes in there when u think back.
Aye it was full of a lot of the hard lads from down there, many were football hooligans also. They welcomed us lot from day one.

Did you read him a poem marra, calm the situation:)

That's him, was it Billy Robinson? He told me it was the other way round, he said Graham was embarrassed after and apologised to him?? Just stating what I was told.
He brayed billy Robinson and graham gave him a sly dig.he still won..... graham pulled him later and admitted it.Ernie says no big deal.Billy Robinson was a father figure to Viv Graham and he hated seeing his man getting brayed. All in the book marra.im not going to claim I was told this,I was told that.fact is,no daft twat on here knows anything other than what they read.:)

 Nor, once he realised he was talking to a cool fucker he backed down.
He's deed.your not...makes you cool I thinks...

Had direct dealings with two of the families mentioned on this thread and dealings with other lets say more substantial 'gangsters'

Wise to admit backhanders on here marra?

Kidding.

Nice car....

Joking

Tag watch?

Aye heard similar mate. Bewick you mean? Viv more myth than matter it seems. Even in that video doesn't put Stu Watson down with a full surprise attack.
Don't know much about Duffy tbh, what's the back story/craic with him?
There's some myths grown up around Duffy. I was given a lift recently by someone who's brother associated with that crowd in Middlesborough. His brother had been blown away with a shotgun and he was honest enough to admit his brother deserved what the got the way he acted.

However the story he told about Duffy was he went by himself into a yardie pub in London with 2 handguns. He robbed them of 70 grand and 2 kilos of coke and said "you've been duffed you know where to find me but the first one who comes to my door gets their head blown off" and there was no comeback. My limited knowledge of the pubs even in Nottingham where higher level dealers frequent is that they are all armed so there's no way one person could walk in there and rob the place. And should anyone attempt to there would certainly have been repercussions. But people like to tell these stories!

I divide stories, and posts, by 3.14, and go from there. A useful number for all occasions I find.

In the books that I've posted it states that Duffy was shot or shot at numerous times. The books don't try to glamorize the people themselves and seem to have first hand accounts so I have no reason to disbelieve the author.

It also states that he was once doused in petrol and someone tried to set him on fire.

Not really someone who you would want to be around to be honest.

Other than that minor incident we never had any trouble at all. At the Arena we regularly stayed back for drinks with young John and certain DJ's. Brian and old John were the only scary people in that place. Lee Harrison seamed to cause bemusement too people from London etc who didn't know him.

I highly doubt they ever had proper Queensbury rules fightes, I know a few of these boyos, some are dead now but they're all scared of each other. Not saying they aren't hard but they're all scared of a mental case. Anyone can get a gun or run you over, this like hooligan stories is usually a load of shit, a sprinkling of truth and a lot of shit mixed in.

Proper gangsters are business men only interested in money, people who can fight will compete for money mostly and I'm sure they are nutters and very scary but only to people like me and you, its very rare they'd try to kill each other because they're just as scared of dying as me and you.
