I've just heard from his daughter that Phil had surgery yesterday and is doing OK but is likely to be in the RVI for some time yet.

Phil's family are based in Manchester so visiting is very difficult for them.

If anyone fancies popping in to see him then that would be greatly appreciated.

I've already had contact with Phils daughter and Glen, and arrangements are being made for a visit.

chris just called me literally 1 min after posting. He has asked me to let him know when phil ' s first game back at the sol will be and the club will do something for him on that day

As usual from the SMB there's been an excellent response for volunteers to visit Phil, but as he's likely to be in the RVI for quite a while I'll repeat my post from this morning in case anyone missed it. Thanks.
