Got a reply from BBC re Dawnies biased reporting

Why are people on here so concerned about what she thinks. Her career stalled in local news years ago and more importantly, we just hammered her favourite team. Let her say what she wants....

If she's that bothered about us, send her a plaque to say the mags won the corners competition but we'll keep the points.

Dawn gave her own view of the game, which was that this was one of the most ‘fortuitous’ wins of the six. This view was backed up by the match statistics which showed that Newcastle had the most possession, the most shots and the most corners. However there was no denying the final result and we also gave the view of the Sunderland manager and some Sunderland fans on what they thought of Sunderland’s historic win.

Write back with the following and see what they say:

Sir,

Further to your correspondence RE: Dawn Thewlis, I'd appreciate clarification of the role Ms Thewlis plays with the BBC Sports organisation.

I note with a certain amount of confusion your reference to: 'Dawn gave her own view of the game'. Please can you inform me why she felt this necessary or why the producer and editor allowed this? Can you clarify if Dawn is a reporter or a pundit? If she's a reporter then her views are entirely irrelevant to the piece she was presenting. If she's a pundit please can you tell me why you don't have an impartial reporter reporting facts rather than speculation?

I'd appreciate your views on this at your earliest convenience.

Secondly, can you clarify the content of Ms Thewlis' broadcast the Monday following Newcastle's home win versus Norwich. I'd like to know if this win was classed as 'lucky' bearing in mind Norwich's stats compared to those of Newcastle.

I look forward to your reply.

Its not just one football match or football in general. Gave up watching it years ago. I dont live in newcastle, work in newcastle, shop in newcastle or visit newcastle very often so theres little on look north to interest me.

Dear Mr Glenday,

Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to respond to the Sunderland supporters that have written in regarding concerns about Dawn Thewlis' perceived unprofessional reporting of the recent Derby. Whilst I appreciate that you have addressed each of the concerns, I'd like to just point out Fuck right off you black and white bastard, Fuck right off you black and white bastard, Fuck right off you black and white bastard, Fuck right off you black and white bastard.

Regards
OohBaldyBally.

Good to see we have such fair and balanced people on here------

Writing an e-mail to Look North to complain about supposed 'biased reporting' is embarrassing enough but the cherry on the top is the will to slip an FTM joke as your name at the bottom of the mail.

Dear me
Aw diddums. Does it still hurt? Have you stopped crying yet?

If the situation was reversed there'd be a funeral march outside the building and a van driving around the Toon

Personally, I don't give a shiny ......... I just laugh at how bitter & jealous they are.

He wrote a letter man, probably an email in the time it took you to post ......... he didn't super-glue himself to the railings outside the building

Now that's an idea .... we could also persuade someone to jump in front of a black and white hoss at the next Grand National.

Another protest would be for all of the SMB to switch to non-realtime TV so that we can bouycouuttt the BBC TV licence.

As the contents of the letter have only been disclosed on a small anonymous chat forum I fail to see how it can be embarrassing.

The only 'outsiders' are Newcastle supporters on a Sunderland forum who, frankly, don't count.

As you've pointed out, with your amusing video recording, the Toon Army are winning the shame game by some considerable distance ;)
