Childish i know but im fed up of her smug ways

Dear Mr Maxwell

Thanks for getting in touch about ‘Look North’ as broadcast on 26 October.

We understand you feel Dawn Thewlis’s report of the Sunderland Newcastle game was biased towards Newcastle.

The ‘Teamtalk’ section of the programme reported that Sunderland’s win over Newcastle was historic as it was the first time one team had six consecutive wins over the other. Dawn gave her own view of the game, which was that this was one of the most ‘fortuitous’ wins of the six. This view was backed up by the match statistics which showed that Newcastle had the most possession, the most shots and the most corners. However there was no denying the final result and we also gave the view of the Sunderland manager and some Sunderland fans on what they thought of Sunderland’s historic win.

We appreciate your comments about the presenter’s demeanour which we have sent to the producer of the programme.

Thanks again for taking the time to contact us.

Kind regards
