I work in Gateshead so there are a fair proportion of Newcastle lads here, no idea if they are mags or even football fans or not as we never actually talk about football.

There's no time in the 40 hours a week after we have spoken about current world culture, the trends within world economy, the impact of modern life on the environment, and the survival plight of the turquoise throated puffleg.

Monday mornings are the best though as we discuss at length the plot intricacies of the latest episode of Downton Abbey

Well, they're calling people liars for posting the harmless little incidents that happen in real life every day.

If people were saying they were swinging McClaren round by his ginger tuft they might have an argument.

But sacking people off because a work colleague had a conversation smacks of some sad desperation to be right.

If people think I'm going to make up some trivial shite that a kebab headed clown I work happens to have been spouting, just so I can pander to some people on the internet, then it says a lot more about them than it does me.
 
My 2 best mates are mags and just messaged them asking for a prediction. Both have said they would be very happy with a draw and we have the psychological edge they reckon. One says draw, other reckons we'll beat them again. Both just be over the moon with not getting beat.

Because they've won one game all season, no away games for ages, were torn apart by Man City, have a poor defence, haven't beaten some dreadful Sunderland teams for 5 games, have a shaky keeper, will be playing away from home, have terrible form over the last 20 games, conceded 10 goals in their last 3 games, recently lost at home to Sheffield Wednesday's 2nd team, recently lost at home to Watford ......... just saying like :neutral:

Neither team will be full of confidence ........... I want & hope us to win but I wouldn't say I was confident.

I'd be more worried if we were playing a good team though.

Any team coming to us away from home has every right to be confident, we're terrible at home and bottom of the league. Regardless of how poor their team is you'd imagine they're gonna be confident, Newcastle are no different.

If anything they're less confident than most others, I've only spoke to one who actually thinks they'll win or 'will win all of our next five games if we play like we did against Norwich' but most of them seem like they'd be happy to just stop their bad run against us.
