Nigel Pearson......

How about only for two years? After all, we are not recruiting for director of the church choir.
Personally think players and officials of the club should behave in an appropriate way and I wouldn't want Pearson representing SAFC in any way, and that includes washing the kit!

We played well in a lot of our games and lots of managers and pundits were saying we were too good to be where we were.

It's more or less the same players who were part of that bad run who've collected on average 2.17 pts per match over the last 17 PL matches. Our form over the last half a season would have us finishing second last season if we maintained it over a full season.
That's not how it works

Regardless his record in this league is enough to stay away from him, and that's not mentioning the fact he is a complete wanker

3 wins from 23 games in the middle part of the season, but you were playing well, right?
Not all the time no, but quite often.

Pearson takes some blame as he went too cautious after starting the season on the front foot. That doesn't suit us, you may have noticed we're better at just attacking.

He has flaws, make no mistake. He can be slow at learning, not great with the media, sometimes it seems like he's stubborn and cuts his nose off to spite his face with selection (but I think that's more to do with teaching players what's expected). People will pull their hair out about team selection and subs.

But he gets it right in the end.

If people don't want him because he called someone an Ostrich, a reporter a prick (he was being a prick), and pretended to have some rough and tumble with an oppo player... Then I think it's short sighted. Fergie, Mouriniho, Clough were some of the biggest bell ends around.

Telling a fan to "fuck off"

Ferguson, Mourinho and Clough back it up with success. Pearson can't do that

So it's ok to be a dick if you have success then you seem to be saying?

If someone was abusing me, my players and staff how that fan was then I'd do the same. Bloke was an utter bellend and I didn't and don't blame Pearson for it.

No that's not what I was saying

Fair enough if the bloke was a dickhead and it was a one-off incident, but it wasn't. That embarrassing thing with McCarthy, calling a reporter an ostrich. The man is a lunatic

Don't want him. Another uninspiring name on a quite uninspiring list of candidates.

Bust the bank for Warburton or appoint internally.

He makes my flesh creep tbh ....... that 'ostrich' interview says all you need to know about him imo.

You either love him or hate him.

Obviously they are miles apart in ability and success, but it would be interesting to see how Cloughy would be taken in today's climate.

Something's afoot. Odds on Nigel have shortened markedly in the past few hours while the odds on BSA have drifted.
(BSA still the favourite, but gap w Nigel is narrowing).

Because of the bullshit in the press and people putting bits of money here and there on the back of it!
