I'm a convert having seen him in the last 2 games. He won't cost a great deal and there are many centre halves whose positional play compensate for a lack of pace. This tends to come with experience and the more games he is getting the better he looks.

last 2 games he has looked the most comfortable of all the players at the back , seems to be reading the game a lot better , anybody else think he actually looks like John Hawley looking from the stands he has the same stance too

Never suited to what poyet wanted the defence to do.

His passing is atrocious but he does read the game well and is much better with a 'no nonsense' approach.

Thought Coates was excellent yesterday. He'd probably be available cheapish and thats the market we shop in now. Bring him home.
Cattermole and Larsson were good anarl. Graham did well. That was the best Ive seen Jones play.

We're going to be stuck with signing a shite South American clown of a defender because the only man in the world who rated him selected him enough times to trigger the permanent transfer. Vergini won't start 10 games next season under any other manager.

While sending back a defender who, while terrible on the ball, would actually have been decent cover in the centre of defence because he can defend.

Another brilliant success for our recruitment policy.
