That's true but that doesn't automatically mean the keeper's stats will be good so we can use the stats to compare and see our keeper is one of the best at least in the bottom 10
I'm just not so sure, I really don't give stats much credence with goalkeepers personally.

Pantilimon has a should of being best in the bottom half though, aye. People on here thought him and mannone was better than de gea

He has been excellent though, class in the air.

Mr D's grandma worked for City at the time she was a tea lady of some sort................... I've just asked him "who for the players and that" ? he's just said " probably have been for the Busbys and them" I've just said That was Man United man  I despair man I really do at times
He got the right city at least. !!!!!

QPR don't sit especially deep though, they're pretty much wide open. Therefore Green wont get as much protection and the quality of chances for the opposition is likely to be better when there's more space etc due to players being taken out of the game, so his save percentage will be lower as a result.

How the team plays doesn't automatically change the keeper's stats, a good keeper will rise above it. It's obviously a factor but it's not a be all and end all

Nowhere near de Gea but for a defence as shaky as ours that aerial presence is priceless.

being married to me he's picked up a few things  I've told this story on here before, one night on Look North Carol Malia was interviewing a bloke who was the spit and dab of "hand of God" and you know when your married to someone and you look at them because you know just what they are going to say? He gans Doesn't he look just like, I thought my God he's got it and quick as flash he came out with Pele

Somewhat different ethnicity!

Well it often does. Different teams play different ways, as do different keepers. I think as shown by how high Mannone was rated last season that out of all the stats, most of the goalkeeper ones are the most pointless.

Great to see you win last week and looks like Hull will go!! Would just like to know how big Pants has done in net this season? He was good for us and seemed a great lad. Didn't think he would get in the first team ahead of Mannone.

Hope you get 2 more wins and maybe even the Mags might get sucked into it.
Cant be arse to read through all the posts but I think he's been excellent, really safe pair of hands but his distribution is woeful mind

Every fan I've ever spoken to of any club always slates their keeper's distribution. Realistically I think it has more to do with the style of the team, if you're Swansea for example there's always going to be defenders dropping back.

This has him 13th of keepers with more than 20 games played. Better than most for throw outs, poor with 'other' which I assume relates to having the ball played back in-play. Pretty average really, I think instead of just accepting that he's good and maybe not world class, people feel the need to identify specific weaknesses which aren't necessarily worse than average.

During the Poyet era it seemed to me as if he had the ball as much as an outfield players when they used between keeper, CD, LB & RB - but the stats suggest otherwise! Perceptions can be deceptive!
