Definitely excellent at set pieces, but his distribution is brutal. I sometimes wonder if Mannone is better at organizing the defence, communication-wise, but I missed the 8-0 game.

Maine road was a class stadium. They had a 'social club' didn't they? Had a fair few pints in there 'incognito'.

yes , but what i see from this stats ...

The length of his kicks is around 59m ... no doubt his kicking is poor when have to deal with opponents defenders ....
Mignolet average 25 m :))) i'm curious if he received any goal this season because of his kicks .

I think he's a good keeper

He has some faults like, hence why he is playing for us

Love the way he pretty much does a goal celebration when he makes a class save.

We're everyone's second team iirc.

canny

Used to like Maine Road. An excellent car protection service run by the local children for a very reasonable price.

My late father in law, was brought up in Ebberstone street they had peoples bikes in their yard while they went to the footy, all done as a kindness mind.......... he was a lovely fella

impressed me during his run in your side last season so was very pleased when we signed him. expected him to take over from mannone from day one and we wouldn't have suffered the 8-0 defeat at southampton with him in goal

Stats are worthless for keepers. Massively dependent on defenders in front. The better team will get more clean sheets in general.

A team at the bottom who sit deep will have higher saves to shots ratio. It's worthless imo

Well not necessarily, rob Green's isn't even 70+%

He's a good keeper. Great at set pieces (mostly), good enough shotstopper. Decision making generally good. Obviously due to his size he's not as agile as some keepers, but probably better than you would expect for his size and has been said his distribution isn't good at all, but his strengths far outweigh his weaknesses and his twice the keeper Mannone is.

Aye not in every case but remember we sat very deep under poyets and didn't press the ball once. It's no coincidence both mannone and pantilimon have high percentages.

That's true but that doesn't automatically mean the keeper's stats will be good so we can use the stats to compare and see our keeper is one of the best at least in the bottom 10

QPR don't sit especially deep though, they're pretty much wide open. Therefore Green wont get as much protection and the quality of chances for the opposition is likely to be better when there's more space etc due to players being taken out of the game, so his save percentage will be lower as a result.
