The plane fly past is back on...

Okay, explain how he wasn't without using any references to his mam's back bedroom.

The plane idea came from our piss taking of their latest protests following directly on the back of another defeat by Sunderland. The banner is about us beating Newcastle 5 times in a row for the only time in our 136 year history.

It only references them and us and does not mention a game 12 months ago involving a 3rd party. Simple enough for you?

I wonder if the mags hire a plane in August (or god forbid, the Leicester game) to revel in our relegation. I wouldn't blame them tbf.

They didn't manage it for the protest day which they are organising so I highly doubt they would manage it another time and even if they did hire one to taunt us but not for there own protest that says more about them than it does us as ours is mocking them and the fact they didn't manage it when it was there suggestion

What makes it all funnier is that we'll hold this record of having won the last 5 games against them for a good few years (unless we get drawn in the cup that is). Ha ha ha ha ha.

No need to get so touchy.

I said it was the same mindset, not exactly the same scenario. It is the same mindset, because it is something they won’t give a crap about if we get relegated and they (as looks likely) stop up, the same as we didn’t give a crap about the reminder we lost the cup final because we had a cracking day/weekend out and they didn’t. Also, you state the banner is about us beating Newcastle 5 times in a row in for the first time in our history, well I’m sure you know it is not a new derby record because they have done it previously. For that reason I don’t think it is an achievement worth crowing about, if we had set a new record then maybe, not when we’ve just equaled their record. If you remember, when they set the record back in 2006 we had just been relegated, so any mention of 5 in a row got forgotten about as they had a much bigger reason to laugh at our relegation. Even though it is now ourselves who have won 5 in a row, I’m sure the mags would take that if it coincides with us going down.

Good point, we could even make the plane flyover an annual event. Maybe every year on the anniversary of our relegation.

Yawn.

Be canny funny if the bloke flying the plane ends up getting arrested cause it's a restricted zone

Waste of their own money really, the plane will never get on TV, if it did it's a balls up from the guy operating the camera. If your going to put a plane in the sky you might want to focus on our own club by trailing the banner "get the shite players out of SAFC"

fuck me man, I'm using the word banter as it is initially intended, not the LADBIBLE version FFS. It's just a joke. I honestly cannot get into my head why people would be significantly bothered by this to cause such a fuss. I just don't get it. It's a joke. Some find it funny. Some don't.

You're selling yourself short, this is Richard Keys and Tubes off Soccer AM levels of bantz. Rio Ferdinand and Jimmy Bullard have got wind and are gutted they didn't think of it.

Anyone who thinks that this plane flyby is embarrassing, how embarrassing do you think it would be to pull out now because we're scared people will laugh if we're relegated.

Mag supporters are aware of this campaign and have tried to stop it going ahead by complaining to GoFundMe, we would look like complete cowards now if we pulled out, so why not just get behind the idea or leave it to those who want to?

History will show that you were against the idea (if anyone even cares) so what have you got to gain by keep going on about it?
