I can see this coming back and "biting us on the arse" ...great win over the mags and 5 in a row, but we are the worse footballing side in the premier league and look set to get relegated, just leave it lads.....

There's obviously a split, which is a shame because it's just a bit of fun but you'll never get everybody to agree on any idea.

Really taken off, who you trying to kid? From what I've read on here you have 150 donations, I got more than that when I did the Great North Run from work colleagues, family and friends.

Did loads of people keep heckling you while you were trying to get sponsors going " no Boo bad idea, he won't finish then We will all look stupid " and keep saying it for days even though they had no interest in the race ?

Proves once and for all to me - if it was ever in doubt that anti-mag means more to some as pro-SAFC.

Mind you people have the same choice to attend games or not or even leave early or not.

Id not get upset or spit the dummy over it though. I guess there's no option now once the deposit has been made (presumably non-returnable).

A fly over will make absolutely no difference either way to our status come the end of the season or to the level of piss the Mags will take out of us if we go down.
Either way we may as well have a bit of a chuckle

Honestly it's not about being offensive, I've said consistently that people will have different opinions, and they are entitled to that.

I'm not trying to be offensive, if you believe that this plane jape means folk that support it are more interested in anti mag than pro safc, then you truly are dim. I applaud you btw for supporting us home and away, I did that for many years, I pick and choose now and I donated to this plane jape, doesn't mean I am more anti mag than pro safc, believe me.

No worries fella. I followed us late 70s 80s and 90s then got bored after the move to SoL (and relative glory) so I probably am dim.

Have a five-in-row fly past at Sunderland - even the air show. Rather than in their back yard on a protest day.

Of course it can backfire and they will piss themselves laughing if we go down. As we did when they did. I'm probably just too old for this banter;)

I can honestly say that the banners the Villa fans had made it all of about 1% better that they went down.

The banners at our place and the photos were far better.
