For those in favour (seemingly many) - are you able to advance a cogent and lucid argument as to why such a flyover might be a swell idea, like?

Most of the people in favour of this flyover don't care enough about what other supporters think of us to assume that something as insignificant as a prank with a plane would be enough to make everybody think we are pricks.
Most fans from other clubs will just think, "it's just a daft bit of fun." I guarantee it.
If you are the kind of person to look at something like this and get angry/call people thick ***** then you clearly care too much about football.
It's just a joke: an ironic counter to something we found funny, which other people found funny enough to chuck a little money in it's direction.

I actually don't think that is the case: that people know it or that they actually are in the first place. There are deluded mags, there are deluded mackems, there are deluded Mancs, and there are deluded londoners, it's no different anywhere else in the country. Most fans are entirely reasonable people, and if you can't see that this is all a complete and utter farce, then perhaps it is you who is being delusional and hypocrytical

Good post . I think all those who are extreme anti flyby are wrapped up in the same self created self referent mystique as the mags . There is nothing so special about our clubs or supports reputation that can or will be damaged . To presume that there is is an arrogance that I perhaps just " divvent understaahnd" . Fly it' laugh at it , laugh again when someone tries to deconstruct a simple piss take.
