Why does every one care about his wages??? its not like we have a whip round before every game

Because it impacts on our ability to buy other necessary players, given the limitations imposed by FFP.

People keep saying it's 'only' a few extra thousand a week but it adds up to millions. Might be offset if Brown leaves in the summer, but then we'd still need to find room to buy a new - young - CB.

Are the echo actually quoting my posts like

i was told " a swap involved" id heard elsewhere ( on here i think) that it was swap plus cash , seems it isn't

Nah I posted yday that it was a straight swap and wages wouldn't be near the figures mentioned. Be on par with AJ. ECHO running the story now. Good info from source.

If the billionaire business man Ellis Short is happy to sanction the deal I think we can all sleep easy knowing it isn't going to bankrupt the club.

Be honest lads, who has had a cheeky look at youtube videos to remind us of his prowess ?

I remember one goal he scored where he planted the ball, bounced back of the keeper to him and rocketed back into the net. Bullet

 looks that way.

is the deal affected by the altidore hold up then?

No. I don't think so anyway. Just general confirmation of the deal. In an ideal world they would like to announce both deals to be completed at the same time. They can do that when the MLS agree the price. They may announce Defoe first with the agreement about Jozy in place.

Who said anything about bankruptcy?

FFP imposes a limit on the amount clubs can spend on wages. Even if the chairman has plenty of money to keep us afloat, we still wouldn't be able to exceed that limit.
