Defoe

Either way though, wish him all the best at you other than Saturday, he's a borderline club legend or as close as you can get in the modern era so will always get our support

Fletcher is a better player nowadays. Defoe is going to have the same problems as him too unless we start changing our mentality.
I'd disagree with this. You can play longer balls and balls over the top to Defoe because he has pace. Can also beat a man and accelerate away from them thus making his own goals. Fletcher can do neither.

This is a 32 year old Defoe, I can't imagine him suddenly being able to skin players and bang goals in, he wasn't doing that at the end of his Spurs career.

Ideally I'll be wrong but I can't see him hitting the ground running and rediscovering his form he had as a 25 year old.

Now all we need is the rest of the team to buck their ideas up and supply the ball to the striker or is that to much to ask at the moment?
