Or. a daft idea I had the other day. Our last game of the year is Chelsea away, anyone fancy doing a Sunderland to London ride for that? Still prefer doing a Malaga ride like.

still looking into the TDF (Belgium/northern france) for first 2 weeks - maybe a 10-12 day job taking the bikes over

Definitely want to spend some time in France for the TDF Whether it's down in Brittany or Belgium I'm not sure, bikes will definitely be involved.
On crutches atm after an argument with the tarmac, on a roundabout, yesterday :(

Not sure, I don't think it was cold enough for ice. It was a fairly big roundabout and I was going flat out and didn't think for one minute I would 'lose it' Luckily the Missus was just behind so put the bike in the car and got a lift home. Tried the bike when I got home, could hardly walk but could still ride.

was looking at ferry to Calais and pick it up on day 3 from Cambrai then follow it for 6 stages then ferry back from St Marlo after a few more days cycling around Brittany
may have to miss a stage or 2 though depending on road closures/camping sites etc

How's the leg mate? Hope it's nowt serious.
Nowt at all thanks just bruised quads, Had a very gentle ride out on the mtb today, I had to take the seat off to get on and I couldn't put a lot of my weight on my right leg but I managed,

not at over 200 quid more than going from dover on the ferry I don't :)
Ouch Last time i did it by the time I factored in a bed for the night and not having to travel all the way through England it was better.
