I've also been on long enough to see numerous threads on the south stand. I like it there but too many arseholes frequent it now.
Happened in my row so I seen/heard everything. The racist bile started in the first half with the odd shout of "fuck Allah" in amongst the chanting. After the 3rd goal though, they began throwing terms like that into usual football chant tunes and as the crowd had naturally quietened they were more audible. 3 stewards came up the back, stood on the stairs and listened to it for 10 minutes. Clearly weren't acting upon it so one decent young lad in my row took things into his own hands, telt them to fuck off home and stop darkening the name of our club or get outside and he'll put them straight. Racist scum then made their way down towards him, punches were thrown and we dragged the decent lad out of the way (as the stewards were clearly incapable of intervening). 30 seconds later, the police turned up and were met with a barrage of complaints as the stewards cowered at the top of the stand. Their reaction when they were informed of the lack of action from stewards was priceless.
15 minutes later, Smithy turned up & hung around for 30 seconds, few pats on the back for the coppers and off he went again.
That's the ironic thing, most of them don't seem to have learnt much else.

This. The atmosphere went out of the stadium when away fans were shifted. It was a much better atmosphere when they sat in the south stand and people who wanted to sing sat in the SWC... Next to the away fans. People in the North Stand can't even see them never mind create an atmosphere with them nowadays
Wifey bought some of that quran stuff last week to make lasagne with, was naff. Personally I couldn't care less what chavs were chanting, last night was a horror show. If people are more concerned about being pc I suggest they bugger off and attend a Liberal party meeting down the local phone box. In the mean time that was utter shite last night, started off with the bloody metro breaking down, and ended up with friggin horrendous traffic jams on the way home.Short out
