Punk is an absolute bell like, get's the opportunity to do what every single other person in his profession want's to do and wrestle for the WWE.
Fans loved him, wasn't living like a pauper, got to go home and pump AJ. The lucky daft twat should be grateful if he got hit by a bus.

Love his ambition and not taking shit personally, he said he failed in wrestling at the end, when others would have loved to have had his career think that shows how driven he is. If only more would act like him, we wouldn't have such a stale product and no well they'd all quit!! shite WWE would make it a better place to work because they'd have to.

What ambition's that? In his field of work he could literally only go higher by staying with the WWE. Now he's writing comic books? or something. Bet it was worth all of those bone breaks, muscle tears and concussions. I genuinely still hold some belief it's all still a work and I really hope it is, cos I reckon Punk is class. But if it's not, this whole thing is pathetic.

Main eventing Wrestlemania, he said he'd even take being in a triple threat match and being eliminated after 5 minutes, he wanted to be at the top but never achieved it and so feels like he failed it's that sort of self belief and ambition that got him to where he was imo, he's not the type to think 'ah well i'm a millionaire and achieved a fair amount I can be happy with where I am' and it's that attitude i like, even if it was part of the reason why he thought fuck it gonna tell Vince I'm off.

I think he sounds pretty reasonable, they just never seen him in the same bracket as cena, even when as he says he was getting more shirt sales, massive exposure after the pipe bomb etc

Think it's interesting he didn't recommend Roman reigns for the shield, and now wwe sees him as their next top guy, says a lot
They see nobody in the same bracket as Cena.
He didn't recommend Reigns because he doesn't have that 'indie background' that he's all for, Vince and Triple H just reckoned he had the look for the company's top face, as well as the 'enforcer of The Shield'.

Aye, but in my opinion ambition would have been sticking around for another couple of years, working as hard as I could to make sure I main evented Wrestlemania.

He had done that for years and still wasn't getting any closer even in his year where he was hot, he obviously had other reasons for leaving too constantly sick from the Staph infection, trying to make him wrestle through concussions, there would have to be a time where he couldn't take anymore and by the sounds of it he was lucky he did.

It kept refreshing at around 25 minutes, I'd posted it before that point

He seemed a bit upset about being sacked on his wedding day like, almost as if he'd done nothing to bring that upon himself by doing something like, well, I don't know, walking out and violating his contract before it was up. If any other employee from any other company in the world walked out before their contract was up, they'd face the same fate, it's not as if the world is against Phil Brooks. Aye there were some things he said that you could agree with and say, aye that's harsh, the whole UFC/Triple H - Mayweather fiasco, but other than that he genuinely does come across as a stroppy wanker.

Haway man! They fedex him his termination papers on the day of his wedding! Absolute shambolic behaviour didn't have the decency to even say it to his face!

Absolute joke of a company and the way WWE is ran is barbaric tbh

Also he was suspended and they didn't bother to tell him his suspension was up then they fired him. He went to Vince to tell him he was leaving which he didn't have to but they couldn't do the same back to him? And even sacking him on his wedding day as a fuck you.

what exactly happened when he left then mate?

was not really following it at the time.

He was champion for a modern day record 434 days like so he's deluded as shite to think he never achieved being at the top. His ego is bigger that I thought before listening to the podcast because if you're facing The Rock and The Undertaker at ppvs like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania, you've achieved top superstar status. But nah, because Hollywood committed Rock and ageing Undertaker, who, when thinking about it, would have their legacies tarnished a bit by losing to someone like Punk, weren't on Raw the next night, it was an insult to him. There are probably people backstage who'd kill for a chance to face, and even lose to The Rock or The Undertaker, but not CM Punk. What a selfish wanker.

Christ, I've had an SBC moment.

Love Punk me. Agreed with every word he said in that podcast. Wrestling with all those injuries, given a specific time of healing/resting period by the doctors and Vince still got him in way before he was supposed to. It's a well known fact the Mcmahons and HHH are complete arseholes anyway.

He said that he practically told Triple H to fuck off in that meeting with him and Vince before violating his contract and walking out, each to his own I reckon

Well the Royal Rumble he went into fucked from injuries, Kofi then gave him concussion with one of his rumble spots but fought through it and still completed what he was supposed to, when they did the concussion tests he said he was clearly concussed but they passed him, he said all this about how much WWE care about their wrestlers is bullshit and all for show. They had him v Kane lined up, said he liked Kane but it had been done plenty of times now and then him v HHH for WM, he didn't like the way HHH talked to him and how he ruined his momentum back in 2011 for no reason, went into the office with Vince and HHH and told Vince he's had enough and basically told HHH he's a git bellend, Vince hugged him and was nearly crying. Then that was that, Punk was told he was suspended for 2 month, after the 2 month he wasn't informed it was up, HHH gave punk a call 2 days before his wedding and said he wants to talk, Punk said aye but im getting married, can we talk after, he was then sacked on his wedding day and HHH never got in touch. They also wouldn't cash in his royalty checks but Punk took them to court and won. Also the WWE doctors wouldn't treat his boil on his back, AJ Lee recommended her doctor and he said straight away it was a Staph infection that could have killed him.

Oh and Vince told Punk Orton v Batista would be the greatest main event of all time :D

"Practically" told him to fuck off I'd tell my employer to get fucked if they point blankly buried their heads in the sand over a staph infection. WWE acted like the unprofessional company they truly f***ing are as can be seen by punk winning in court . The Wrestling industry is an absolute mess I've never heard of any industry so fucked up in this day and age it's ethically bankrupt
