I've thought for a while now that Short is getting the books in order and gearing up to sell us, doubt we'll see us investing anytime soon. We'll probably stop up but it's going to be another long, depressing season hovering around the relegation zone.
I agree, was always the case.

Still amazed so many people thought we had a good squad until yesterday... We have 6 defenders, no pace whatsoever and strikers who won't muster 10 between all 4 of them. All of this was clear in august.

The owner is gambling on us staying up on a shoestring, and lets face it there's no real incentive for him to waste more money on the club. Even if we had signed a couple more players we'd still at best be languishing around the mid table mark, for which there is minimal ROI.

Yep, going into the season with only 2 fullbacks on your books was a disaster waiting to happen and only now it's hitting home. The solution appears to be some 34 year old, out of contract bloke, you couldn't make it up. I don't know another club that would go into the season with just one right back and one left back, it's scary.
