How many non-British citizens currently serve in the British Army? Genuine question.

If Scotland leaves the United Kingdom, they're no longer British nationals, they're Scottish nationals and IMO we shouldn't have citizens of a country who spurned an alliance with our own, in our armed forces.

By the looks of it:

"Soldiers from across the Commonwealth and other countries have a long and proud tradition of service in the British Army. That tradition continues today. The Army welcomes applicants from certain countries and overseas territories, but you may need to have lived in the UK for a set period of time to be eligible for certain roles." - that's from the British Army's website.

If you're a British, Commonwealth or Irish national, you can serve. Perhaps they'll extend that to Scottish if they leave.

The last winner of the VC was from Grenada, we've been recruiting from overseas for years.
 
I'm not sure, but I hope it helps me avoid Lossiemouth like the plague!!
