NUFC fans levels of expectation

You have disgraced yourself by marrying into a Mag family.
Your father in law is senile.
Perhaps he feels Arsenal will finish between 5th-12th, in which case come on Palace.
He was joking because he knows how easy it is to wind up his sensitive Mackem son in law.
You're lying.

At least one of these points are fact!

I sit here in awe of our near neighbours. Fantastic stadium with 50000 attendances every day even when there is no game and another 100000 outside wanting to get in. Fathers putting their sons names on the waiting list to stand outside the ground on matchdays as soon as they are born. Did you know that they are friends with the biggest clubs in the world including Gateshead? They have an international airport as well - it is not in Newcastle - it is in Ponteland. They insist on wearing their club shirts with pride and gravy stains on. Their no 9 shirt is the most coveted shirt in the footballing world even the mighty Mick Quinn has worn it - it was an XXXXL size mind. Oh and they are everyone's second favourite team according to the Coventry apeman who presents Skysports Uzbeckistan

So jealous.

After a 3 month break , the Prem is back ! Let the hate begin - FTM

Pardew excuse bingo has already started, he's said that the new players need time to settle in and "we may not get off to a fast start, I'm preparing myself for an even start" whatever an even start is.

And there is a piece in the in which he says he brought a player from Sunderland because of his win record against Man City!

Aye, his touchline antics alone is comedy gold, then you add the moments he opens his mouth, well worth the price of popcorn.

Not to mention his off field antics involving players lasses.

The bloke is a complete wretch.

Mag at work, a proper 1992'er who's never been to a match in his life has put £100 @1000/1 on the mags to win the league and £50 on them to finish top 4  He brought the betting slip in to prove it, even all the other mags were ripping the piss out of him. He genuinely thinks come May he'll be in the money ffs

They attract over 50k fans so think they should be in the top 4.
This is one their 'reasons' for expecting to be a club pushing for honours. The 11 on the park, regardless of the crowd size, will decide how good you really are. Intelligence doesn't abound up there mate.

Mags will finsh in the top two.
Haway man, they'll believe owt if it's good about them. There's more fun in their mighty downfall.

Talks in riddles - seems to work on the unwashed as they have gone from wanting to lynch him at the end of last season to believing they have a top 4 manager based on his nonsensical ramblings and a couple of signings - up unfathomable really.

Seen a couple of things over the past few weeks on social networking sites posted by Mags saying they have made some amazing signings and have high expectations for this season. This was further evidenced when my Mag father in law was watching the Arsenal match and was cheering Palace on. I asked why he wanted Palace to win and he said cause he viewed Arsenal as a rival to NUFC this season. Based on their squad, goals they've lost with Remy going back to QPR I would have put them in mid table at best or have I missed something that would suggest they could be challenging the top 4?
SSN Transfer News page this afternoon "Newcastle manager Alan Pardew is delighted with the club's transfer business this summer and thinks they can compete with the top four ahead of the clash with Manchester City." By 4.05 today I expect the reality check will kick in...
