Seen a couple of things over the past few weeks on social networking sites posted by Mags saying they have made some amazing signings and have high expectations for this season. This was further evidenced when my Mag father in law was watching the Arsenal match and was cheering Palace on. I asked why he wanted Palace to win and he said cause he viewed Arsenal as a rival to NUFC this season. Based on their squad, goals they've lost with Remy going back to QPR I would have put them in mid table at best or have I missed something that would suggest they could be challenging the top 4?

There expectations are always out of touch with reality, I thought that stint I the fizzy pop would've dented there egos but it hasn't.

Just wanted to give the rest of the premiership a break from their all conquering team of world beaters.

Pardew excuse bingo has already started, he's said that the new players need time to settle in and "we may not get off to a fast start, I'm preparing myself for an even start" whatever an even start is.

Lets hope they dont cane man city or theyll be telling the world they are back.
Pardew has been giving it the big one for couple of weeks - would love to see him fall flat on his face.

I sit here in awe of our near neighbours. Fantastic stadium with 50000 attendances every day even when there is no game and another 100000 outside wanting to get in. Fathers putting their sons names on the waiting list to stand outside the ground on matchdays as soon as they are born. Did you know that they are friends with the biggest clubs in the world including Gateshead? They have an international airport as well - it is not in Newcastle - it is in Ponteland. They insist on wearing their club shirts with pride and gravy stains on. Their no 9 shirt is the most coveted shirt in the footballing world even the mighty Mick Quinn has worn it - it was an XXXXL size mind. Oh and they are everyone's second favourite team according to the Coventry apeman who presents Skysports Uzbeckistan

So jealous.
