Lords Tour

Right lads, just to revisit this one slightly - if I want to go on a tour on a Saturday, outside of the season (it'll be a week after the 50 over final), can I just turn up and get a spot? Or will I be better off booking in advance??

Down in London late September - week after the 50 over final and really want to have a look around Lords.

Anyone done it? Think it's £18 and I don't think that's bad value at all in fairness.

Also - is there a dress code for the tour?!!
We did one ie me and my son after last years Durham game at Lorsd ended early. The only thing was we couldnt get into the dressing rooms for obvious reasons ie the teams hadnt long been off the pitch. Well worth it although I was disappointed that I wasnt allowed to get a picture of my son in the Long Room. Frowned upon.

You can just turn up. You might get a discount though if you book in advance. The tour party's are usually made up of loads of Indians and Australians.

Hi Brandon - I've just checked out the site and it's inferring that you need tickets in advance! Not sure about that as when I was there last Summer people were just turning up and paying on the door.

Think it best to book on line and avoid any disappointment. You'll really enjoy it - it's even worth it if you have no particular interest in cricket

Very helpful of you mate thanks. Probably book in advance now! I wasn't really sure what time I'd be looking to go, I'm the kind of bloke who just goes with the flow on the day too as opposed to working to a strict schedule, so ideally I'd have just wandered up on the day and got in on it.

Any idea if they do Emergency Services discount?!

You walk into the museum and pay at the front desk presenting the voucher. It's a cracking tour but photography in the museum and main pavilion/long room are banned. The only time you can use your camera is when you go outside. You get a tour guide. The media room is excellent as well, cracking view. I wouldn't bother booking in advance, no need to
