It was actually us that pulled the plug - hadn't realised as I saw so many negative comments and threads that day I really couldn't be arsed to depress myself further by trawling through to get the fine details. I had just assumed he was going somewhere better - or Congerton was shite.

This is the problem with sharing stuff before it's official.
A mate of mine is a journalist, has great contacts within the NE clubs, plus agents and players etc..., and he says he's heard about loads of transfers that were as good as done that have fallen apart at the last min or players been in talks and visited the club only for a manager to deny any knowledge of it in a press conference, he'd be laughed at as a bullshitter if he posted some of his stories on here.
Is that a question? I don't really know anyway, I just read some of the reports about us dropping our interest in him. Don't think we ever got a reason for it.
