We are still Sunderland, and I love my team, but footballers don't love any team and when I think with head over heart I understand that it's because we are still Sunderland that we may not be a huge attraction to players.
As I said just my opinion
The same Sunderland who gave him a chance to play in a Wembley Final and star in one of the biggest derby games in UK.Before he came to us he was nowt.

I don't disagree with the fact we gave him a chance. But I can also sort of understand why he maybe a little reluctant to sign permanently. I'd be delighted if he did mind. We will just have to wait and see, to be honest I'm not sure Liverpool would be happy with a loan, he's only got one year left on his contract I think so he could go for next to nowt at the end of the season

My worry is he doesnt want to come. How are the fans going to react, its dragged on too long move onwards to new targets.

I do like Borini by the way and we were a better side with him in it last year, but its a case of commitment to the cause that worries me

You can't question that lads commitment, on the basis of last season.. if he was playing with jumpers as goalposts he would still treat it like a cup final.

We are still Sunderland and players should be lining up to sign for us.

If you insist!

I never had him down as a mag

Just goes to show, you can't trust anyone these days.
Got to be otherwise he would have known that "Wise men say, only FOOLS rush in" is sang by all Sunderland supporters. Confirmed mag

I live 7 mile from Newcastle airport and a planes just gone overhead, presumably heading for said airport. Could be him lads...

The tweet Borini made about flying back doesn't say when he's flying back. My interpretation of it is that he's not training because of his injury so is killing time in the hotel until the end of the Liverpool tour, then he'll fly back and start his recovery. A bit like Lallana is not coming back when his injury is worse. Just keeping the squad together to bond
Hmm, but surely if he's staying he will be doing some training, maybe not full contact traing but light training to keep in some sort of condition oh and what about physio sessions, there's bound to be loads of those surely, no your version is way off the mark

He could be worried about signing a contract for 3 or 4 seasons worth of relegation battles. Probably thinking if he has another good season on loan here either Liverpool will take a chance on him or another top club will come in for him. Also if we have a better season and were to finish top half it could persuade him to move permanently.
he could have a relegation release clause like Remy did with QPR ect lots have then

Don't see a problem with a loan. He keeps an option open of a big future at Liverpool, we don't have to beg and bribe him to come here permanently and we have £14m to spend elsewhere. Looks like win, win,win from here.
