Dunno if anyone has pointed this out or not but this is the new longest thread on PF

So who should we go for then? How should we spend £14M there are not any players at other clubs, bar Jordan Henderson, who care about Sunderland. That type of player is gone. Forever.bition wise, rather than

All he keeps texting my mate is "Tell your SAFC mate Borini'll be there's eventually"
I'm not Congerton or Mr Poyet so the decision isn't mine. I post form the heart, and if a club record bid isn't ample to secure a fifth rate Liverpool striker, we need to seriously rethink. Like you, I'd play for nothing to wear our shirt, and I was alluding to the fact we need to bring in players with points to prove ambition wise, rather those with ego's that don't really match their ability or worth.

He loves scoring against the mags, is as hardworking as any player ive seen, he's a class act and he's mulling over a massive crossroads in his career. Grow up you f***ing soft cock. What are you going to do if he signs? Clap, but not as loudly as you might have done? Fucks sake.
Fuck you, gobshite. 'Scoring against the Mags'. Is that it? We've offered the biggest fee in our history for someone who's scored against them, and in your opinion, is hard working but is at a stage where he needs to make a decision? Wake up fucktard. He ain't Messi, he's a Liverpool sub. He Comes, fine, he doesn't fine.

Sorry mate, meant 5th rate for Liverpool, based on who they have currently. Like you, I'd have loved him to come here and without doubt he'd have been our top player. Him not seeming to fancy us makes me think he may be happy to bench warm elsewhere. Hopefully not and it's agent talk. Brilliant asset to us, just a bit part at Liverpool is what I was trying ( badly ) to get over.

I don't think you can say Fabio has an ego! He's got a lot to consider with this decision, according to a quick google, he's on at least £50KPW, now I suspect we are probably asking him to lower his basic wage to come to us, we are also likely to say, you'll be playing out wide mainly with the occasional game through the centre. He'll have to move up this way, which he's already done but he's now engaged to his girlfriend who's from Liverpool and likely works in the city so she'd have to commute to and from work, he'd also be going from a club who have just secured Champions League football for the first time since he was there, although he was there and played in the Europa League with them. This season he won't be first choice at Liverpool, but given 2-3 injuries he could feature, that's not unlikely, could he make the position his own? Who knows, that's what he has to weigh up.

Shows how desperate we are really. He's a good player but nothing special and had a canny season but we seem to be depending on this.

Whilst I understand Borini has a big decision to make, we need to give him a deadline and stick to it. An answer by Sunday at the latest.

If he says no, then fine, we move on, but it will piss me off no end when he ends up leaving Liverpool at the end of this window for someone like Stoke and he along with us we will both think what a f***ing waste.

He wont get a better offer than us this transfer window and he needs to realise this pretty soon.

I don't believe that for a second.

It is obviously a massive decision for Borini to make but we need to set a deadline for a decision so we can move on either way.

It has been a week now and both his agent and Gus have indicated, to various degrees, that he won't be coming here.

So just a wind up :D I personally, knowing absolutely nothing, think he will sign and I really hope so, I think he is going to be a top class player for someone.
He is what we both call, quite simply, a footballer.

It's these 'maybe' signings that always leave us scratting for scraps mate. We pin our hopes on a stellar, get rebuffed, and end up panic buying. I'd rather Borini said outright, I ain't coming, so we can move and look elsewhere. As it is, we are rubbing the rosaries, hoping he might deem us fit. Sorry, not for me or my club.
