This has to be the worst signing since cardiff shelled out 12m for that striker who played 3 games and was sent back to his former club for 3m or so cornelious ?
10m for this plodder ?
Lunacy.

Just reading the BBC article on this, did we pay less than £1.5m for Bridcutt?

BBC said:
Brighton, meanwhile, had never received more than the £1.5m they were paid for Bobby Zamora by Tottenham in 2003, Adam Virgo by Celtic in 2005 and Elliott Bennett by Norwich City in 2011.

this is why foreign players are taking over our game - nee-one can afford to buy from british clubs cos they're all very aware that all prem clubs will be loaded. if it's a prem to prem transfer the effect is even worse cos' there's no need for a club to sell anymore, even with ffp.

the only way to get a bargain these days it to find players in their last year of a contract. for this reason i'm expecting wickham to be sold before the season starts so we can at least get some cash for him

if he keeps dragging his feet / we won't match his demands he'll be gone for next to nowt in jan
Depends how much we are offered, as we should be able to get a decent amount through a tribunal if he leaves at the end of his contract.
