The club need to pull out of this asap , never ever good idea to force a player to sign when he doesn't want to come.

Poyet sounds confident, and to be fair both the local press in Sunderland and Liverpool seem to be implying that him going away with Liverpool is no big deal
Exactly people are just making shit up now, it's both unusual when a fee has been agreed for the player to play a meaningless game hours later then fly out on preseason, it shows we could be fars apart yet or he straight up is waiting to see if anyone else comes in.He didn't, he signed for west ham in June way before pre season. Think he was in holiday in America though!
Probably but that in itself is strange. If they think he is signing for us they have nothing to gain and £14m to lose by playing him. It's usually the selling club's decision and most clubs want to protect the sale. For whatever reason Liverpool don't.
Just going off what the Liverpool fans were saying on their message boardHe didn't, he signed for west ham in June way before pre season. Think he was in holiday in America though!
The only people who are making a big deal out of it are the idiots on here. Can't see why anyone would really expect Borini to sit down for every last minute of negotiation with the club. Just doesn't happen.

If they were that desperate they wouldn't play him, accepting a bid is a pretty good sign they want the money!Liverpool might be quite happy to keep him. Or they might want to give off the impression that they are. In reality, they are probably desperate to get the money, given their spending, but then nobody gains much from looking desperate.
Must admit thats me own view on it like. Not in preseason FFs, he plainly has massive reservations about coming here and is holding out for others to come in or for us to pull the plug.
Really? Usually as soon as a fee is agreed the player leaves the training camp they are in to join the one with the club who made the bid. It's happened a few times in the last week.This. To be honest, I've only ever noticed players going to discuss terms on deadline day. Usually you hear of player heading to the club for a medical and to sign etc. I've never heard of a player spending a week in Sunderland as negotiations go on.

Liverpool don't want him
Nobody else is going to match our bid (well its very doubtful)
I doubt he would choose sitting in the reserves over coming back here
What's he done wrong exactly?
he might want to leave it until the very last minute.Liverpool don't want him

But why does he HAVE to be there? The lad has always said he wants to play football, so why take himself out of playing and getting fit to discuss a deal when his agent can sort it all? It's not in any way unprofessional to go and discuss terms with a club who have agreed a fee. It's what just about every player does. Liverpool have 2/3 doing it now.

That's my take on it Liverpool accept an offer they feel is too good to turn down. Tell him it's up to him what he does and he is at least assessing his options.Every player has a price, we've met that price. Maybe they aren't bothered whether he leaves or not, so while it is being discussed they carry on with pre-season as planned. Maybe Borini is waiting to see if anyone else comes in - can't blame him for that. Maybe his agent is up here now finalising it all subject to medical in which case liverpool won't play him
Nobody knows whats happening, just let it happen. We'll soon know soon enough
