Likelyhood that Borini will be in Liverpools Champs league squad to fulfil quotas for the competition. Though I think they're covered on the whole.Club need to play hardball. You either sign by end of next week or we move on. If Liverpool sign Remy, would Borini even be in their Champions League squad??
If we have £14 million to burn on Borini and he doesnt come, would rather we used it and bought a pacey right winger. After all, Borini will be on the right of the 5 mindfield with either Fletch or Connor as main forward

That would involve actually reading the article.Except nowhere in that article does Borinis agent say he doesn't want Sunderland move.
Sorry, sarcasm doesn't translate well in the one word reply!Except nowhere in that article does Borinis agent say he doesn't want Sunderland move.
Borini will have left instructions with his agent before leaving, got to remember if we suddenly pull out of the deal the lad has to be able to stay at Liverpool without becoming public enemy number 1.I've no problem with us paying the money, but as some people have said - If Borini is wanting to stay at Liverpool and not push this deal through, we should maybe try and find another striker for a bit less, say £10 million. Try and get Alonso with the other 4 or something.
What about Christian Rodriquez from A Madrid (if we get him in Summer)? He's a winger right?

Didn't that come out a few days ago? Isn't recent news?

Just popped up on NewsNow... But let's hope it's old news!
It's not in any way unprofessional to go and discuss terms with a club who have agreed a fee. It's what just about every player does. Liverpool have 2/3 doing it now.Borini will have left instructions with his agent before leaving, got to remember if we suddenly pull out of the deal the lad has to be able to stay at Liverpool without becoming public enemy number 1.
He's being VERY professional about this and it's one of his endearing traits.
What do you mean? Do you not have an example to clarify it for me?I can't believe people are still trying to make out that this is normal or nothing to be concerned about.
He might sign but something is going on.
For example Remy fee agreed straight in the plane to the us. That's normal practice.

Another one dropped on their head as a bairnWe need players in and at least Borini knows the club. But I agree with concerns raised - firstly, the £14m price tag is way over his real value. Liverpool sign Remy for £8.5m, that's the comparison we should be looking at! And it's also clear that he wanted a shot at playing for Liverpool - that shot clearly is being denied him given the signings that they have made. There's a real danger that he comes to us and lives off his kick backs from the transfer fee and no doubt exorbitant wages, the contract setting him up for life, and doesn't bother putting in a shift for us. Once you realise you won't make a decent player in a top 4 side surely the ambition drops off and you don't look to stretch yourself as a player?
The club need to pull out of this asap , never ever good idea to force a player to sign when he doesn't want to come.
Need to look elsewhere FUCK. HIM.
