Gus Poyet confident of signing Fabio Borini for £14million, with Sunderland boss willing to fly Liverpool forward back from America
  • Fabio Borini travels to United States with Liverpool amid transfer saga
  • Sunderland manager Gus Poyet is willing to fly Borini back from America to join up with Black Cats training camp in Portugal
  • Borini wants to keep options open in case Champions League club from abroad match agreed £14milion fee
  • 23-year-old scored 10 goals on loan at Sunderland last season
  • Poyet confirms 'we have agreed terms with Liverpool' to make deal

If he is holding out for other clubs it doesn't show much commitment to Sunderland a player who said "a piece of my heart will always stay with Sunderland" fee is agreed and it's down to the player now and if he wants to dance about waiting for other clubs then withdraw the bid and look elsewhere.

Don't know why some people seem to be getting their knickers in a twist he is just waiting for options.

Last year he had nothing to lose coming on loan, coming here permanently is a whole different matter.

I suspect he is waiting to see who else comes in for him plenty of time yet, the fee might be the problem.
He hasn't got to leave Liverpool he can stay there they can't make him move, probably less risky to him than coming here.
As CK has said the club need to have a timeline and move on if nothing has happened by then.

One of the reasons to sign him was that hopefully he wanted to be here. If that isn't the case and he's stalling to see what else comes along then we need to f**k this deal off, even if he changes his mind later. If his heart isn't in it then neither should our £14million.

On a slight downer it looks like we could've wasted time and effort in this deal. I don't want to sound over critical of the club as it's becoming regular for me but this offer should've been placed long ago to assess Borini's re-action early.
We've put ourselves against the clock again now.

Hopefully Borini wants to be here and the deal goes ahead in the next day or so. Not even i think the club would be so inept as to go through the whole procedure with Liverpool without having an indication from Borini that it was a go'er. Nobody could possibly be that incompetent.

You dont have to sit and read all day, you just check the last few posts and pages. It basic internet forum skills

Aye going off past dealings they could

So the club types into google and uses any doctor they find?:lol:

They will only use the club doctor man

Is that true?

I always assumed medicals were done by independent doctors and reviewed by the club doctor.....do we just basically book a room at the Nuffield and have our doctor do the medical?

Genuinely don't know.
