What would be a bigger premier league option for him, can't see the likes of Everton, spurs or teams of that stature after him, maybe he fancies a move back to Italy.

Nail on the head I think with a move to Italy.

Also if he does want to stay at Liverpool and backs himself to proove his worth then FairPlay in my book.

Depends what motivates him. If it's money he'll stay in England IMO... can't see one of the big Italian clubs coming in for him and the rest wouldn't be to compete financially with his current wage at Liverpool/what we plan to offer. Similarly can't see a bigger club than ourselves matching our offer, we've saw how the rest of the country/ media think its ludicrous already.

I would very much like to see him at SAFC this coming season but if he wants to play "hard to get" then he is not the right person for us.

If he attempting to do that we should move on, very quickly!

I am not sure of the whole transfer process but I thought a club makes a bid if its accepted all parties talk player and agent and the buying clubs manager and whoever else to agree personal terms.
Then the player signs.
I must be wrong just seems odd to me that he's flown out of the country with a fee agreed.

I'm not sure whether they would always talk to a player but Borini was with us a year, surely in that time they got some indication of what he was thinking and what he was prepared to do. It's weird, on one hand I believe there must have been discussion, on the other hand flying off with Liverpool isn't what I would have thought would happen

Well seeing that it's been confirmed that a fee has been agreed between the two clubs, why have Liverpool risked him being injured which could jeopardise 14 million quid of income?
To me he doesn't fancy it.

IF Sunderland are going to conclude a deal for Fabio Borini, it doesn't look like it will be especially quick. If anyone was expecting Fabio Borini's proposed move to Sunderland to be quick and simple then it may be time to think again. The Italian has been included in the Liverpool squad that has jetted off to America for a pre-season...

He bought a new house back in italy over the summer, reports in italy say he wants a move back there with supposed interest from a few teams, i dont think this one will come off like.

If he does not want the move I think his agent will have informed Congerton by now. However, I believe his agent and Congerton will be meeting over the next few days, I think an agreement will be reached and he will be back with us to fly out to Portugal. It often takes around a week to sort terms on deals like this after a fee has been agreed. I really do think he will sign.

As much as I'd like him to come back I've got a feeling we are being used again tbh.

Nice to see the club showing some ambition to try and get him in, I'm just not convinced he wants to sign.
