Fair play to Short and co if we pull this off. It's a lot of money but he's a known quality.

I love the lad to bits, he's a good player and scored some memorable goals (Mags home, mags away, Wembley)

But haway, breaking our record fee when he only scored 5 or 6 league goals last season from open play is ridiculous.

We'd be better off spending the money on 2 defenders or a defender and a midfielder.

Right signing, wrong price.

I was thinking more along the lines of making three successful loan signings into permanent ones tbf, seeing as we struggle to do it with one.

Gerrin Borini lad, just bloody gerrin.

So glad the club got this over the line.

Loving the photos on twitter of kids doing the borini knife - the last bit of proper player love I recall was for Bent, and its great there is a new icon back at the club.
