£14m is utter nonsense. Up to £14m - if Sunderland win the Pl, CL, FA Cup and Borini top scorer - conceivable.

Liverpool paid about £8m - the bulk fee will be less than that. Unless they've got Daniel Levy in as an adviser.

I love the lad to bits, he's a good player and scored some memorable goals (Mags home, mags away, Wembley)

But haway, breaking our record fee when he only scored 5 or 6 league goals last season from open play is ridiculous.

We'd be better off spending the money on 2 defenders or a defender and a midfielder.

Right signing, wrong price.

Bent cost more man, get your facts right, haway :lol:

Gerrin at least we're trying to bring the right players in.

Rising to 14m it's steep but considering 11m gets you a championship plodder, kind of puts it in to perspective. I m pleased to have him back, and it's great to actually sign one of our most successful loan deals. He's Scored some important goals, great penalty taker, would run through brick walls, is a great professional, can play a couple of positions. Top signing IMO. Now go get Alonso and Vergini sorted out

for fucks sake be true, please

Borini and Alonso fit the profile of players we should be targeting, and should of been for years

People forget that one of a coaches main jobs is to COACH players, improve their game. This is something Poyet does, and can do with younger players, look how Cattermole.

Often gets lost in the modern game, all this buying and selling, and sacking of managers.
