Its amazing that even in light of this tragedy some people still cannot put to bed a footballing rivalry even if only temporarily.

2 Mags have died but 300 people in total have. I hope in our games in New Zealand we remember each and every one of them. Another tragedy to hit Malaysia airways that will also rip open a wound that hadnt closed at all from the plane that vanished.

Its very sad that some fellow NE football fans lost their lives with all the other poor souls who perished. Such a terrible thing.

Well I'm going to give that a like and a bump! FFS what's wrong with some people. Even just one or two irresponsible comments on Twitter or Facebook etc. will tar us all with the same brush. Condolences to all concerned and their families.

Thankfully the vast majority are blessed with common decency. Well done lads & lasses.

Cannot agree more, I have seen many touching tributes. Unfortunately (as a mag i know this all to well) we are often tarred and people forget the decent folk. There are lovely sympathetic comments on here.

To be fair mate, it's the minority and they troll for the sake of it

The vast majority realise this is an utter tragedy

I absolutely agree 100%. Now is not the time for this discussion, but it was only one bloke that punched a horse.

I know all too well from first hand experience of losing a family member in the lockerbie bombing how utterly devastating this will be for all involved.

The overwhelming majority have paid their respects to the lads.

I didnt mean to cause offence or anything to anyone. I was just saying. I wouldnt dream of derailing what was genuinely a wonderful thread full of heartfelt condolences.

No worries fella none taken, ........... its a sad day for their family and friends. Definitely puts football into perspective days like these....RIP lads

Apparently there was 80 kids on board. Tragic for each and every person and their families and friends. It is terrible. Words feel pretty meaningless at times like this.

80 kids, 100 AIDS specialists, that leaves about 100 people who aren't kids or AIDS specialists?

As someone said on Twitter, the cure for AIDS could well have been on that plane, figuratively speaking. That's many more thousands of lives affected by this barbarous act. Truly tragic.

It's awful, does anyone know why so many on that plane? Was there some kind of AIDS conference in Asia?
