LVCC Durham v Warwickshire

*Durham’s one-day captain, Mark Stoneman, has received a penalty under the ECB’s discipline code for showing dissent when given out lbw on 86 to Yorkshire’s part-time off-spinner Adam Lyth at Headingley last week. He was reported by umpires Richard Illingworth and Richard Kettleborough. The three penalty points will remain on Stoneman's record for two years. He claimed afterwards he had edged the ball.

Yorkshire bastards. Two home umpires last week. ECB bastards.

i wholeheartedly suppor the ECb in their decision.

in no way am i critical of stoneman, great to see him show emotion.

the umpires did their best and i applaude them.

0-1, great, this is compelling listening.

stoneman goes second ball in the follow on. the commentators call it dreadful for durham, i choose to believe it is fantastic for both warwickshire and cricket in general. hurrah.

this is thle third day??? not looking good, a deluge is required

Whenever I have watched Barker on the tele he has struggled to land one on the strip but whenever he plays against Durham he seems to steamroller the batting order.

Richardson & Muchall have been largely crap for the last month. And i was hugely hopeful for Richardson at the start of the season. Looked a great prospect but has faded awfully.

Stoneman for england someone said on here last week, good lord. He should be a million miles off.

In this season's County Championship he has 777 runsa @40. Three centuries with a HS of 187.

England could do a lot worse.

i think richardson's numbers are fairly decent too. he has not quite kicked on from the tons he got early doors but he got a very useful knock in the last game, 90 odd iirc and i think a half century in the game before anarl

I dont deny he is talented & worthy of a place in our team but he is very inconsistent for me. Borthwick the same. Rarely can you say they are in top form as for every ton they get, its surrounded by single figure scores.

You never ever seem to know what you will get with DCCCs batting & thats been the story for 10+ years imo

On an unrelated note; Northants making a decent fist of it against Somerset. Hall & Willey have put on 99 for the 9th wicket and they need another 54 to win!!

Northants lose 2 quick wickets and it's all over. Didn't want them winning if, as looks likely, we lose this one. Still, plenty of batting and praying for bad weather to come!!
