It's been downhill for Sunderland ever since Darren Bent was encouraged to leave. This was also after the manager categorically stated players would be picked on current form and not the club they played for or reputation. Why should any SAFC fan give a damn about an organisation who encourages this behaviour is beyond me.

That was Capello, a top class wanker. Hodgson has picked players on merit, look at the Southampton mob and in the influx of youth. If your holding a grudge about something Capello said 4 or 5 years ago you need to grow up

I am not really that bothered about the England football team as it does not have a great impact on my life. Yes I would be very happy if they were successful, however a successful Sunderland team would make me 100 times happier. I don't arrange my personal/family life around England matches as I do Sunderland ones and therefore an England defeat or victory means less to me. This attitude seems to offend the op but that is just my opinion.

I was disappointed last night like, but got over it as soon as the final whistle was blown.

Now had that been Sunderland losing a big game I'd be devastated for ages.

England... I just went for another pint... I'd be a liar if I said I was gutted.
 
I love England,but having been working down south all week there's not much of it left. Our nation is not ours anymore,it's every other fuckers. I always watch England,I always want them 2win. But last night didn't upset not fire me up. Sunderland on the other hand,there's nothing like it man,the joy is 1000times greater wen we win,the agony is always a 1000times worse. And sunderland is our club.not a f***ing immigration check point like England is
