Someone mentioned on here at the time that type of idiot is attracted to the game by the invention of T20 - which sounded like sense to me.
i like t20 but i dont indulge in pathetic twitter rants. i save them for on here

Had to go to bed at 4PM yesterday (nightshift ) so missed the conclusion to the match. I was checking the score online and jumping over here to watch peoples reactions. It's been great reading peoples posts from 4 onwards knowing what the result was. Great crack and great result.

i imagine he'll be away with england anyway
Well, an England selector was there on either Sunday or Monday when Stokes wan't exactly performing. In fact Smith for Lancashire out performed Ben, so I wouldn't guarantee him going, which can only be good for us! I'm hopeful we get another season out of him before he's off to England.

Meanwhile, I'm looking for another two days (Tuesday & Wednesday) of live and not so tense, but exciting cricket next week ...

Having looked back at it, two of the 3 giving rushy pelters were SAFC enthusiasts, albeit stupid younguns.

Embarrassing.

How far were you looking back? Just what I saw of Rushy on Tuesday and Wednesday he was our best bowler by a long chalk. Those last few overs on Tuesday evening he was on fire and started the morning session in a similar vein.

Sussex without Jordan, Prior and Yardy are a fairly ordinary side. If we play to somewhere near our potential, I envisage another win which would put us in the mix for the title

Yes, it's a really good time to play Sussex - mind Somerset's next game is against Notts, so whatever their result we'd still be another win behind either team. But as you say, we'd be well in the mix. Amazing turn around if it comes about. Hopefully our weather problems are behind us and we can get a full four days in .....

I don't think we have disgraced ourselves in any 4 day game this year, just not had much luck for the majority of games. Having Stokes in the side will pay dividends once he hits some form as he is England's best player (even though Moores cannot see it)

he is not englands best player with bat or ball

We certainly haven't, though mebbies we should have seen off Northants. I'd give Stokes another season and see how he develops - not consistent enough for me at the minute for International level cricket. He wasn't too brilliant against Lancs tbh, but he has massive potential .... let's hope we see it come through ...
